Will Tan

Will leads our coverage of asset management, hedge funds and family offices. A top hedge fund headhunter and a leading talent strategist in the alternative investment industry, he focuses on team builds and leadership searches for boutique and global fund managers across liquid and illiquid strategies.

Will started his career with Salomon Smith Barney in equity research. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Economics from the University of Massachusetts and completed the General Management Program at the Wharton School in 2019.

June Tan

June leads the Finance and Middle Office recruiting functions at Principle Partners, including Legal and Compliance, Operations and Office Managers/Executive Assistants, ranging from Manager to Executive level. June has been proactively connecting and mapping out talent in Asset Management, Hedge Funds and Alternative Investments across Asia for the past 8 years at Principle Partners.

Prior to joining Principle Partners, June spent 7 years of her career at PwC as an Auditor. June, who is a Singaporean, holds a Bachelor of Business in Accountancy from RMIT and is a Chartered Accountant of Singapore.

Kelvin Koh

Kelvin specialises in front-office investment-related searches for global and Asia-based hedge funds, focusing on strategies across equity, fixed income, currencies, and commodities. He has a track record of placing mid to senior positions.

Previously, he was an auditor at KPMG, where he focused on covering the energy and technology sectors.

Kelvin holds a Bachelor of Accountancy with Honours (Merit) from Nanyang Technological University.

Jamie Chua is based in the Singapore office and specializes in Front office desk. Drawing on her executive search background in trust, corporate services and asset management, Jamie actively engages with professionals in this sector to deliver tailored talent solutions to her clients.

Mei Xin covers the middle to back-office functions at Principle Partners, including Operations, Finance and Accounting, Legal, and Compliance, focusing on mid to senior-level roles. With five years of recruitment experience in the asset management space, she’s well-versed in both buy and sell-side recruitment.

Mei Xin holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance from The University of Western Australia.

Since entering the industry in 2014, she has built an extensive track record of building and enhancing high-performing teams for global and regional funds, playing a key role in helping them achieve their strategic objectives.

Based in Singapore, Aakansha leverages her deep industry network to connect funds with exceptional talent and excels at guiding top-tier Asian returnee professionals from leading global funds in their transition to roles in the Asia Pacific region. Carrie Cheung

Carrie is the Managing Director of Principle Partners Hong Kong and is responsible for their coverage of the Greater China region and Japan. She has extensive experience in electronic and systematic trading and has worked at global financial institutions including Bank of America Merrill Lynch, JP Morgan and BNP Paribas. Prior to joining Principle Partners, Carrie was COO for APAC equity trading at Citadel Securities and before that, was Head of Electronic Trading APAC at BNP Paribas.

She has over 20 years in the industry and is recognised in the buyside and sellside for her expertise in electronic and quantitative trading. Carrie was also the first female and foreign co-chair of the Japan FPL (FIX Protocol Limited) chapter and was recently recognized as a Trailblazer at the Markets Media inaugural Women in Finance Asia Awards.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Hong Kong Polytechnic University and is a certified executive coach from The Coach Partnership.

Henry Pao

Henry has circa 7 years of highly specialised experience within quantitative trading technology recruitment, focusing on niche mandates. He covers candidates across Applications and Infrastructure and has made numerous successful placements into leading hedge funds, high frequency trading firms, investment banks, cryptocurrency firms and trading solution providers. With his experience managing and developing teams of Consultants, Henry currently leads our Technology recruitment function.

Deeply experienced in covering the full spectrum of Technology hires within the financial markets domain, Henry’s specialist areas include Low Latency Engineering and Technofunctional roles. Over the years, Henry has built a successful track record in strategically advising and supporting multiple buyside technology team buildouts.

Henry holds a Bachelor in Accounting & Finance from the University of Warwick.

Before entering the recruitment industry, Gordon spent 6 years of his career at Standard Chartered Bank across Compliance, Operations and Risk Management functions. Gordon holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of York

Chloe specialises in quantitative trading technology within APAC region. Her expertise ranges from application development to infrastructure, including quantitative developer and data roles as well. Prior to joining Principle Partners, she gained invaluable experience at a renowned recruitment firm that was focused on hiring technology-related positions.

While comfortably covering all technology hires within the quantitative trading space, Chloe’s specialism falls within senior mandates and Production Engineering.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Bristol.

Jonathan is a specialist recruiter with a focus on quantitative and systematic trading space within the buy-side sector across APAC. He covers front-office positions such as quantitative analysts, researchers, strategists, traders, and portfolio managers.

Prior to joining Principle Partners, Jonathan honed his recruitment expertise at a global firm, where he specialized in Accounting and Finance placements. Earlier in his career, he spent five years in external audit and accounting, earning his CPA qualification.

He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Baylor University.

Mimi specialises in quantitative trading technology within APAC including infrastructure, application development, production support, and data-focused roles. Mimi began her career in technology recruitment in 2019 and spent over 4 years at a highly niche financial markets technology recruitment firm, where she developed a strong track record of identifying top talents for global hedge funds, high frequency trading firms and investment banks.

Being highly comprehensive in her understanding across the quantitative trading technology landscape, Mimi has immersed herself in and built expertise within high performance, business-critical IT infrastructure scope.

Mimi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Policy from the City University of Hong Kong.

Jag, who hails from Kuala Lumpur, specializes in Private Equity, Venture Capital and Tech, having completed 9 maiden PE and 2 Corp Dev/Strategy team builds across Southeast Asia, as well as targeted senior searches. He graduated from RMIT University, Australia with a Bachelor of Business in Accountancy and completed the General Management Program at the Wharton School in 2019.

Patricia Lim comes with 6 years of recruitment experience and specializes in front-office hiring within the financial services industry, including banking, private equity, venture capital and asset management. Prior to transitioning into recruitment, she has over 5 years of experience in the financial services sector, having worked as a Credit Analyst and Financial Institutions Relationship Manager at Public Bank. She then moved into business development with a leading ratings agency, gaining valuable insights into the financial markets.

Patricia holds a Bachelor of Business & Commerce with majors in Banking & Finance and Econometrics & Business Statistics from Monash University.

Jessica specialises in Investment roles. She joined Principle Partners in 2022 and her clients include Investment Banks, Corporates and Private Equity. Prior to joining Principle Partners, she spent 13 years at CIMB Investment Bank in Institutional Stockbroking and Private Banking where she built a deep network with many major corporates in Malaysia. She continues to be passionate about personal finance.

Jessica is a Malaysian citizen with a Bachelor of Law at Oxford Brookes University, LLB (Hons.). She has obtained her Certificate of Legal Practice in Malaysia.

She is an active foodie and is the Honorary Treasurer of the International Food & Wine Society, Kuala Lumpur.

Jeemy has 3 years of recruitment experience, covering front-office  Private Equity, Venture Capital and investment banking. He has worked on both client engagement and candidate management, including market mapping, building relationships, offer management and post-placement services.

Jeemy is fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in English for Professional Communication from MARA Technological University.
